ANTI-DOPING REGULATIONS – OBALA ULTRA TRAIL

Purpose of the Regulations

The purpose of these anti-doping regulations is to ensure fair, healthy, and safe participation in sport. The organizer is committed to clean sport in accordance with the guidelines of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and SLOADO.

Prohibited Substances and Methods

Participants are prohibited from using:

  • any substances or methods listed on the WADA Prohibited List,
  • any form of performance enhancement not based on natural or permitted methods,
  • any medication used without medical supervision or in violation of sports regulations.

Athlete Responsibilities

Each participant is personally responsible for:

  • everything they ingest (principle of strict liability),
  • checking all medications, supplements, and therapies,
  • obtaining a TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption) if they use medication listed as prohibited.

Testing

The organizer reserves the right, in cooperation with SLOADO or other accredited authorities, to conduct:

  • random doping tests,
  • targeted tests before, during, or after competition,
  • identity verification of tested athletes.

Participants are required to comply with any testing procedure.

Violations

Anti-doping rule violations include:

  • a positive doping test,
  • avoiding, refusing, or obstructing testing,
  • possession of prohibited substances,
  • attempted use or aiding/abetting a doping offense,
  • manipulation of samples or testing procedures.

Sanctions

Sanctions depend on the nature of the violation and may include:

  • immediate disqualification from the event,
  • suspension from competition for a defined period,
  • annulment of results, withdrawal of medals or prizes,
  • reporting to relevant authorities (SLOADO, federations, clubs).

Rights and Obligations of the Organizer

The organizer:

  • promotes safe, healthy, and natural training methods,
  • provides education on anti-doping,
  • may conduct testing in cooperation with accredited institutions,
  • handles violations in accordance with SLOADO and WADA regulations.

Acceptance of the Regulations

By registering for the event or joining the club, each participant accepts these anti-doping regulations and agrees to comply with them.
