Obala Ultra Trail
Our story began in 2017, when we discovered trail running and completely fell in love with this unique scene. Our passion for running has been present for a long time — I personally have been running since 2002, initially on asphalt, but we have always loved mountains too. I ran my first real trail run in 2017, and that was when the real transformation happened — from that moment on, we lived only for trails, mountains, and trail events.
The desire to create our own trail event led us to the first project already in 2020, but the world around us made us postpone the first edition to 2021. Nevertheless, we persisted, because we are driven by genuine passion — we are not just organizers, but heartfelt trail enthusiasts who invest every piece of their time and energy to make Obala Ultra Trail something special.
For us, trail is more than running. It is a connection with nature, with people, with ourselves.
That is why in our organization we pay great attention to ecology and respect for the natural environment that Slovenian Istria offers us. The event is not only for competitors — it is for everyone who enjoys company, sport, the mountain world, and beautiful views.
At Obala Ultra Trail you will find excellently organized routes, wonderful locations, logistics that make every step easier, and last but not least — a warm atmosphere created by our runners, volunteers, and team.
